Profitable Domain Development
Great domains with significant potential for fun and profit are dropped every day. I register as many as I can afford for my own use, but that leaves many good names, which don't fit my interests or skill set. I have registered some that I just couldn't stand to let go, but at some point I need to get them into the hands of people who can really make something of them. Thus my plans for Idea Store.
There will be two kinds of domains listed here:
The domains are all for sale and offers are welcome. Obviously, I expect me for domains with developed plans and a published history. Domain names with developed plans are shown below as links. Domain names which are not links are not yet published.
Publishing my ideas for development on a domain gets them indexed for their theme by Google and starts the clock running on domain age. Many Search Engine Optimization (SEO) experts believe filters are applied to new sites by Google to keep them from ranking quickly, as part of their spam reduction process. If the site has been indexed with on theme content for a period of time the name is more valuable.
I have many other small sites on a variety of subjects so, when possible, I also link from an established site with existing page rank. This is always an in content text link with appropriate anchor text and I leave it in place for as long as the target site is relevant.
Catch of the Day Are you a person who "wastes" way to much time every day reading forums on subjects which interest you? What if you started publishing your "catch of the day" on your own blog or website? It would certainly be interesting and might even become profitable.
Hot Chile Lovers is a collection of six .com domains that include the two spellings of chile-chili plus the singular and plural of lover-lovers. I have recently added Green Chile Stew and Wildfire Salsa to the collection. Clicking the Chili Lovers link will open a new window where you can read all about it.
Grower Direct details my ideas for how to create a national directory linking organic gardeners and growers with customers. This link will also open in a new window.
Packing Supplies are essential for anyone who sells on Ebay. If you are smart about it you can get great feedback for the quality of your packing and still make a little money from the shipping charges.
Discount Office Supplies are attractive to any business trying to keep costs down. I think a small town business with extablished contacts with office supply vendors could do well with site.
Dude Ranches Are a huge worldwide business which is popular whereever working ranches need extra income. The ranch operators are not usually web development hot shots and could become the basis for a fun & profitable business for someone who writes well.
Luxury Millwork Provide custom millwork to the homeowners renovating Bungalow and Craftsman style homes. Take advantage of computer controlled routers & internet sourced oak and other hardwoods.
Facial Gels are one of many cosmetic products which people get rich selling. I am not one of them, so I wrote a slightly funny monologue about the silly way facial gels are promoted. Someone should be able to do better.
